2010 FDH Fantasy Triple Crown Draft

On this past week’s edition of THE FANTASYDRAFTHELP.COM INSIDER on SportsTalkNetwork.com (Wednesdays at 9 pM EDT), we held our annual Triple Crown fantasy draft. To add an extra layer of challenge, we conducted it before this Wednesday’s draw for position at the Kentucky Derby – indeed, some of the horses drafted have already been held out of the Derby and may get their first chances to run at the Preakness.

League guidelines are as follows:

^ Three-round standard serpentine draft.
^ Points awarded separately for each race in the Triple Crown, with results being totalled after the Belmont.
^ Points for each race awarded as follows: 15 points for a win, 10 points for place, 5 points for show.
^ First tiebreaker after completion of the Triple Crown is most wins in your “stable.”
^ Second tiebreaker after completion of the Triple Crown is the biggest margin of victory for your winner.

Participants drafted in the following order: FDH horse racing analyst Toe-Knee Holtcamp, FDH Senior Producer Steve Cirvello, FDH Managing Partner Rick Morris, FDH horse racing analyst Bob Glassman

ROUND ONE
1 Toe-Knee: Lookin at Lucky
2 Steve: Eskenderya
3 Rick: Sidney’s Candy
4 Bob: American Lion

ROUND TWO
1 Bob: Setsuko
2 Rick: Endorsement
3 Steve: Awesome Act
4 Toe-Knee: Stately Victor

ROUND THREE
1 Toe-Knee: Line of David
2 Steve: Noble’s Promise
3 Rick: Blind Luck (filly)
4 Bob: Dublin

Excellent coverage can be found throughout the course of Triple Crown season at The Aspiring Horseplayer.
