^ Note: The different tiers on the draft board are intended to indicate the respective value of different players not merely for the
purposes of drafting, but also for trading.
^ Given the balance of power on the PGA Tour, a league should ideally have any of the following configurations: 5 owners
drafting 7 rounds, 6 owners drafting 6 rounds or 7 owners drafting 5 rounds.
^ One potential scoring system involves strictly using Fed Ex Cup points for a default points system. We do not endorse the use
of this, nor do we endorse strictly using player earnings for a scoring system.
^ Our recommended scoring system involves a points foundation based on Top 10 finishes in tournaments. This system utilizes
the 4 major tournaments and the 9 "near major" tournaments. These are the events utilized:
^ AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am
^ WCG-Accenture Match Play Championship (NOTE: award these points as follows -- players eliminated
in the quarterfinals get 4th-place points, players eliminated in the semifinals get 3rd-place points, players
eliminated in the finals get 2nd-place points and the winner gets 1st-place points).
^ Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill
^ WGC-CA Championship at Doral
^ The Masters
^ The Players Championship
^ The Memorial
^ The US Open
^ The British Open
^ The International
^ WCG-Bridgestone Invitational
^ The PGA Championship
^ The Tour Championship
^ "Near major" tournaments count as follows: 10 points for 10th place, 16 points for 9th place, 20 points for 8th place, 26 points
for 7th place, 30 points for 6th place, 40 points for 5th place, 50 points for 4th place, 60 points for 3rd place, 76 points for 2nd place
and 90 points for 1st place
^ Major tournaments count as follows: 15 points for 10th place, 24 points for 9th place, 30 points for 8th place, 39 points for 7th place,
45 points for 6th place, 60 points for 5th place, 75 points for 4th place, 90 points for 3rd place, 114 points for 2nd place and 135 points
for 1st place.
^ This scoring system works best because it utilizes the 13 tournaments most likely to host the best of the best players not only on
the PGA Tour, but from all around the world.
